Charles Lutton came originally from Ireland about 1799, and settled in the southern part of Big Beaver township, on the farm now owned by Cornelius Lutton. Mr. Lutton's son, William, came to the farm where his son, J. P. Lutton, now lives, about 1809-10, and lived till 1874, when he died at the ate of eighty-eight years.
